Blue Ridge Elementary turns 75!

Save the date – Blue Ridge Elementary is celebrating the big 75!

Below is everything you need to know about the Blue Ridge 75th birthday bash, happening from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3.

  • Mayor’s Proclamation: Hear from Raytown Mayor Mayor Mike McDonough at 6 p.m., the start of the event
  • Available for purchase: Melt Box Ice Cream Truck will be there for families and community members to purchase their favorite flavor or try something new. Presale on CDs that will showcase the Blue Ridge school song and a handful of others. Presale on Blue Ridge shirts. 
  • Face Paintings: Blue Ridge counselor, Ms. Mings, will have a station for face painting.
  • Blue Ridge tour: Tour guides will be ready to show you around the school for a walk down memory lane. Pictures and yearbooks will be on display at the gym.
  • Sign the Blue Ridge 75 scrapbook to make your mark in the schools’ history with the year you attended Blue Ridge!
  • Share Stories: share your favorite Blue Ridge memory to help close off the evening.

The event will be on the blacktop, with two entrances. One to the east of the building (right side) and the second one behind the gym/ New Trails. Parking will be available behind New Trails in the parking lot, in front of Blue Ridge Elementary, or in front of Blue Ridge Presbyterian (the backside of the church is not available).
